Not sure how I stumbled on this, I think I was searching for generative reasoning or sense-making in the context of strategy, but I found myself reading a whole chunk of it.
There’s a good exploration of what they describe as the Generative Reasoning perspective on strategy, essentially that which I would compare with what I call design-led strategy. So often the popular conception of strategy leans toward the left hand side, perhaps as a result of the standard MBA curriculum. However, good strategy – almost by definition – almost always comes from the attributes of the right.
